Exploring new approaches to education is essential, and CBE holds promise to revitalize our educational programming with an eye toward meeting the needs of tomorrow's patients/clients. In its initial planning phases, this work aims to ultimately develop and assess the impact of CoPs as a framework for developing CSD educators across multiple domains, including but not limited to (a) critical, inclusive, relational, and emancipatory pedagogy, (b) the science of teaching, learning, assessment, and curriculum development, and (c) engagement in teaching and learning scholarship. Furthermore, these scores have a negative impact on students’ ability to interpret results from a research article, a critical skill for practicing speech-language pathologists. Taken together these findings suggest that math anxiety may be an important factor to consider in graduate speech-language pathology programs.
